ETA: Experience the ADVENT - The King Is Born.

Isaiah 9:6
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

ETA, sharing the message of Jesus’ first coming. Showing the prophetic significance of His first coming and bridging the importance and significance to the soon second coming. This is evangelistic in that we willingly explain who we are as Adventist; those who believe in Jesus and His soon coming (Advent) and those who see the relevance of God’s written Word. The more we are aware of what took place with the first Advent, the more we would understand about what will take place with the second Advent. We eagerly await the second Advent as we experience the first Advent and get to know Jesus Christ better.

Christ has come, and He will come again. This is the message of Advent, a celebration of the first coming of Jesus in eager anticipation of His second. This time of year is marked by noise and commotion, making it all too easy to ignore the miracle of Christmas. Advent is an opportunity to slow down and focus on this beautiful truth: God is with us.

Join us this Christmas for a theatrical experience as we reflect on the birth of Christ. Prepare your heart to Experience the Advent "The King Is Born" the true miracle of Christmas the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, as we eagerly await His return.

Family Advent Guide

Advent is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the birth of Jesus. But especially for families, this time of year can be filled to the brim with activities and obligations. Before the calendar begins to overflow, set aside a few minutes to consider what you want this season to be for your family. Then make a plan so that a time intended to remember and celebrate doesn’t get swallowed up by lesser things.

To help toward that end, we have provided a family portion each week that will help you create intentional time to talk about Jesus. If you choose to use the Advent wreath as the guide suggests, put it in a special, visible place in the house to serve as a reminder of Jesus’ coming. There is also a song each week for your family to sing or listen to together.

We wrote the family portions of the guide with preschool and elementary-aged children in mind. If you have older children, consider having each person work through the “Personal Study” section in place of reading the family commentary, and then come together to talk about what you learned.
